Decaf Process
The Swiss Water Decaffeination Process is a 100% chemical-free method of removing caffeine from coffee beans while preserving their flavour. It works by soaking green coffee beans in hot water to dissolve caffeine and flavour compounds. The water is then passed through a carbon filter that traps only the caffeine, leaving the flavour-rich compounds behind. This flavour-charged water, called Green Coffee Extract (GCE), is reused to gently remove caffeine from new batches of beans without stripping their taste. The result is a clean, aromatic decaf coffee that maintains the original character of the beans.
